Yonder Mountain String Band’s 2015 Spring Tour

Yonder Mountain String Band’s new lineup includes, from left to right, fiddler Allie Kral, mandolin player Jake Jolliff, bassist Ben Kaufmann, banjo player Dave Johnston and guitarist Adam Aijala.

Yonder Mountain String Band is back and better than ever. For this tour, two guest musicians will be sitting in with the boys, Jake Jolliff on mandolin and vocals and Allie Kral on fiddle and vocals.  This will be thier first trip back to Knoxville after the change in line up announced last year. Jeff Austin, former mandolin player, left to pursue a solo career.

“We’re having an incredible experience out there. I don’t think the band ever had a more connected time. There’s a very fresh energy that we’re all experiencing and a lot of creativity,” bassist Ben Kaufmann told the Charleston Daily Mail in late October.

This energy has lead to rave revues of their four night stand over new years in Boulder, Colorado at The Boulder Theater, as well as the definitively more rounded sound. Don’t miss your chance for a four day vacation this month starting on January 21st in Raleigh, NC at The Lincoln Theatre. From there its a quick hop to Asheville at The Orange Peel, before heading in to Tennessee for the Nashville show at The Cannery Ballroom and finally Knoxville at The Bijou Theatre. Tickets can be found at the above links.
