Peak Physique is Knoxville’s newest electro-indie super group, a collaboration by longtime friends Wil Wright (Senryu, Lil Iffy) and Matt Honkonen (Llama Train, Tenderhooks, Paper Wires).
The band announced its existence via Wil Wright’s Twitter yesterday and release a teaser track today on their website, soon to be followed by a single called “State of Fire” on July 26, and later, a full EP, released on Gezellig Records.
Wright says the new music runs the “full gamut of organic and technological performance…integrating organic and digital elements was really important to us.”
Peak Physique has released their first track, a boozy, pulsing psychedelic cover of The Cardigans’ “Lovefool,” on their website https://www.ilovepeakphysique.com.
