Full Concert Series Line-up to be revealed at show

(Knoxville, TN). East Tennessee’s Own WDVX is on a roll, after working hard to overcome some tough times in the second half of 2025. The station had over $200,000 of federal grant funding that was already awarded for use in 2026 and 2027 taken away due to the Rescissions Act of 2025 and are still working through major renovations and more issues with their office space and popular Blue Plate performance area. These issues have not held the station back from planning an amazing lineup of live performances and more in 2026. The station just won eight different categories in the most recent Blank Newspaper “Knoxville’s Finest” Readers’ Poll, including “Knoxville’s Finest Radio Station” for the first time. And WDVX just signed on a translator at 93.9FM at Ober Mountain, putting the air signal strongly in and around Sevier County, including Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevier County. This allows the station’s air signal to reach many more ears in east Tennessee, as WDVX continues to work hard at being “East Tennessee’s Own!”
WDVX is proud to present a kick-off concert for the 2026 Summer Sessions and Summer Nights concert series on the big stage at Yee-Haw Brewing in Knoxville Wednesday, April 15 featuring the two-time IBMA Guitarist of the Year, Grammy Award winner, singer-songwriter-guitarist Trey Hensley. Trey is an east Tennessee native who just released his highly anticipated solo album, ‘Can’t Outrun the Blues’ on Pinecastle Records. Trey’s music has been a staple on the WDVX airwaves for years, especially his recordings and performances with Dobro Wizard Rob Ickes. Hensley just played the Grand Ole Opry, getting closer to 200 performances on that historic stage, and he is also featured as an opening act on Tommy Emmanuel’s latest tour.
Opening for Hensley will be Knoxville Americana Country band Lazarus Lake, who released their debut album ‘Family Tree’ last May. The show is free, and all ages. Doors open at 6 p.m., show starts at 7. It will also serve as a final opportunity to donate to WDVX for the spring fund drive, wrapping up eight days of on air and online fundraising. WDVX will also unveil the exciting live music lineup for both the Summer Sessions and Summer Nights free concert series at this show.
