Switchfoot takes it to the crowd in Knoxville

It was a dark, gloomy night with a cold rain falling in Knoxville last Friday.  But there was a bright, cheerful vibe inside the Mill and Mine as Switchfoot took the stage and filled the house with their brand of inspirational alternative rock.

They opened the show with their new single “Let it Happen” and performed a total of 6 songs from the newly released “Native Tongue.”  The 18-song-setlist also included their biggest hit from 2000, “Meant to live,” and closed with fan favorite, “Dare You to Move.”

Food For The Hungry was on hand so fans could sign up to sponsor a child in an effort to end poverty. Front man Jon Foreman got up close and personal with the sold out crowd standing on the barricade and even crowd surfing.  During the band member introductions, the fans showed overwhelming support for keyboardist Jerome Fontamillas, who was diagnosed with cancer and underwent surgery last year.  It was an amazing show that fans will not soon forget. Here is our photo essay of the evening.
