Colby Starkel, making his solo debut as simply Colby, is a 20 year old electronic/pop artist originally from Seattle, Washington. He has lived in East TN for the last few years, working as a drummer and background vocalist for artists such as Will Carter and Emily Ann Roberts, and also as a studio assistant at what has now become Eleanor Studios, a production company focused on roots and electronic music.
His first single, “Kissing Games,” is an echo of when drum machines and synthesizers ruled the airwaves. Sporting a fur coat and a nasty head scar from a childhood car accident, Colby is a breath of fresh air in the Knoxville music scene.
