(ARRINGTON, VA) LOCKN’ is excited to announce additions to an already stellar lineup, including Phish, My Morning Jacket, Ween, Phil Lesh and Friends, EOTO, Hard Working Americans, Circles Around the Sun, Doobie Decibel System, Moon Taxi, Garcia’s Forest and Donna the Buffalo. EOTO features members of The String Cheese Incident, Hard Working Americans includes members of Widespread Panic and Chris Robinson Brotherhood, and Doobie Decibel System has Jay Lane (Ratdog, Primus), Jason Crosby (Phil Lesh & Friends) and Dan Leibowitz (ALO, Phil Lesh & Friends) in the band. Circles Around the Sun is a band that was put together by guitarist Neal Casal specifically to record just for the Fare Thee Well show intermissions. The results were so captivating and the audience response so overwhelmingly positive that the music was later given a proper release. Their appearance at LOCKN’ will be their first live show ever.
The four-day camping festival, set to take place August 25 – 28 at Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, VA, is also presenting headliners Phish, who will be making its first appearance at the festival with a two-night, four-set slot on the Friday and Sunday of the weekend. This will mark the band’s only festival performance in 2016. Ween will perform right before Phish on the Friday night. Another LOCKN’ first timer, the beloved My Morning Jacket will headline on the Saturday night.
Also performing is an eclectic collection of some of the best live acts in the scene today, including: Joe Russo’s Almost Dead on two different nights, Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires, Brandi Carlile, Gary Clark, Jr., Galactic, Keller’s Grateful Gospel, Lettuce, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Turkuaz, Twiddle, Umphrey’s McGee, Vulfpeck and White Denim. General Admission and VIP tickets for LOCKN’ 2016 are on sale now as are on-site camping, RV and hotel and shuttle packages.
