Second Harvest to receive milk donations and distribute within East Tennessee
Ingles will donate 1,500 gallons of milk to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee on June 29. The gallons will be delivered to the Second Harvest warehouse in Maryville at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018.
Earlier this month, Ingles partnered with Q100.3 and Tennessee Dairy Farm Families for the 5th Annual Randy Davis Memorial Milk Drive where more than 2,800 gallons of milk were donated by the public. After Ingles’ donation, the total for this year’s milk drive will be more than 4,300 gallons of milk.
Second Harvest Executive Director Elaine Streno extends thanks saying, “Second Harvest is so appreciative of Ingles, Tennessee Dairy Farm Families and Q100.3 for the support they have offered through this year’s milk drive. Milk isn’t an option for many East Tennesseans, and this milk drive makes it possible for families to have fresh milk in their homes.”
Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee is located in Maryville at 136 Harvest Lane, 37801.
