Legacy Parks Foundation, the East Tennessee nonprofit, invites the public to join in celebration of our parks, trails, and waterways at the first ever Night for Legacy Parks! on August 10th at 5:30 p.m. at the Standard in downtown Knoxville. East Tennessee’s legendary songbird Robinella will headline a concert with Night Colors joining the evening’s line-up. Blackhorse Brewery will also launch their popular Local Motion IPA, a limited-release beer whose proceeds benefit Legacy Parks.
Along with admission to the show, the $50 ticket will include a bite-sized sampling of Sweet Peas Barbecue’s favorite dishes and an entry into a raffle for great door prizes including a kayak.
“We are excited to bring the community together for this great night of entertainment to benefit our work,” said Carol Evans, executive director of Legacy Parks Foundation. “It’s so good to see local businesses and artists come together in support of our region’s natural assets.”
Robinella, the locally-beloved group, will bring her soulful mix of elegant country, jazz, folk, and bluegrass. Backed by a full band, Robinella will perform familiar favorites and new songs that echo our community’s roots to draw an audience of music and outdoor lovers in support of Legacy Parks’ work. Opening entertainment is the rising group Night Colors led by siblings Elijah and Hannah Cruise. With their pop folk sounds they will help bring in the “Night” to A Night for Legacy Parks!
The featured beer, the Local Motion IPA, was crafted specially by Blackhorse Brewery to benefit the work of Legacy Parks. It is a refreshing session IPA perfect for summer, and proceeds from its sales at the event and throughout its limited release go back to Legacy Parks. This Tropical Session IPA has a distinct flavor and aroma derived from the hops that give it a bright, juicy flavor.
Legacy Parks Foundation, the benefitting organization, is an East Tennessee nonprofit that works to conserve our natural resources, create public places, and connect communities. Attendees will have the chance to learn about the organization’s projects and mingle with Legacy Parks board members and staff. Proceeds from this event will help Legacy Parks continue to add parkland for Knox County, conserve natural space, and access our beautiful rivers.
A Night for Legacy Parks is sponsored by Blackhorse Brewery and Eagle Distributing as part of their on-going support for Legacy Parks. Sweet P’s is donating proceeds from the event to Legacy Parks and WDVX is also supporting with in-kind announcements as a media sponsor for the event. Tickets are limited and on sale now, and can be purchased at legacyparks.org/night-for-legacy-parks/, at Blackhorse Pub & Brewery, or over the phone at 865-525-2585.
