Eight super-sized tents, 3 generators, 1 stage complete with band, 60 volunteers, over 2 dozen restaurants and 8 purveyors of adult beverages help to create one of the most exciting evenings eagerly anticipated every year. The Farragut Food and Wine Festival has proved to have a regional draw of more than 1,000 food and fun lovers.
This event, now being produced for the 8th time is presented by TDS and hosted by the Farragut Business Alliance and Town of Farragut. It will be held Friday, May 5th from 6:30-9:30 pm on the lawn of Renaissance – Farragut at 12700 Kingston Pike, with the help of a dozen business sponsors.
Our goal is to showcase Farragut’s culinary arts. “The Festival was created in 2010 to draw attention to our local eateries. From hometown bakeries to 4 Star experiences, it is a showcase of ‘best bite’ samples from Farragut’s area restaurants and food providers. Then patrons can pair those bites with wines, beers and ready-to-drink cocktails (ID required) from Farragut’s wine stores and their distributors,” says Stephen Krempasky, Farragut Business Alliance’s Executive Director. “We know once attendees try these delicious samples, they will return – with friends – to visit these businesses in Farragut and enjoy more!” The popular beer lounge featuring beverages from The Casual Pint of Farragut and Mind Yer P’s and Q’s, plus the exclusive “VIB,” or “Very Important Bites,” tents are back this year. The V.I.B. experience gives VIP Patrons a sit-down 3 course offering from 3 different Chefs! Each course is paired with a specific wine and explained by the experts while volunteers happily serve you!
New to this year’s event will be live entertainment, featuring area favorites, The Coveralls. http://www.thecoverallsrock.com/
